Hi there, my name is Perry Githens. I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner and have been helping folks with their mental health for many years now. I got my master's degree in psychiatric nursing from Wilkes University. I'm also board certified through ANCC in psychiatry.

Some of the main things I work with include medication management for things like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and substance use issues like alcohol and opioid addiction. I also have experience treating co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders. The people I help come from all walks of life. Some are just starting out on their mental health journey and medication for the first time, while others have multiple diagnoses and treatment needs.

Over the years I've supported folks in all sorts of settings like rehab facilities, geriatric psych units, and adolescent inpatient programs. But what I love most about my job is getting to know each individual person and building that therapeutic connection. It's so rewarding to help folks find peace and happiness after struggling for so long. I enjoy working with people of all ages, from kids to older adults. Having such a diverse practice keeps things interesting!
